Leah is gone. We took her to WVA and she left with my parents, who drove north to PA. We drove west, back to Indy. It’s nice that things are back to normal, but MAN, do I miss that kid. =) She’s GREAT company, and… I just kinda got used to having her around. One thing we’ve [psuedo-] decided to do to keep in touch: we’re going to start taking and posting pictures. We’ve decided to commit to something like a one-photo-a-day thing - we just need to figure out the details.
Since she started today, I’m going to do the same. The rules are one photo per day, and a description or explanation of why we chose it.
So, here’s today’s photo, though I took it yesterday:

As a child, I ran up and down these tracks. We put pennies, crab apples, and pebbles on the track and watched the train flatten them. We got braver and put bigger things - cans, barbies, etc. - on the tracks. The end of those games came when we put a big rock on the rail. My uncle saw it just in time… He jumped across the tracks, kicking the rock off the rail, just before the train reached it. It was very dramatic… and so was our punishment. They didn’t have much of a sense of humor about an almost-derailed train. =)
