I love this old building – even more, now that I’m only there once a week.
This new job has me out of town 4 days of the week, so I miss Wednesday night services and I’m not in town for any of the other random get-togethers the church holds.
I’ll be missing a lot more than that in the near future – David’s going to graduate from seminary, and we’ll be moving on. To what? We don’t know. We do know that his ordination board wants us to move on sooner rather than later, even before he graduates, and even if it’s just to hop churches as long as they’re the right denomination.
I don’t resent his denomination – I’m just sad to see the end of the life we’ve built here. David was always going to be a pastor, so this day was always going to come. It’s just sad that it has to come… now. I was prepared for leaving when David graduated. I’m not yet prepared for leaving sooner.

Staying in touch with my scattered-far-and-wide family.
